Day - 1Arrive Colombo – Kandy

Arrival at the Colombo international airport, were you will be welcomed by our representative followed who will assist and introduce to your vehicle to start the drive directly to Kandy.

En-route to Kandy, you shall be visiting one of the most important tourist attractions in Sri Lanka, the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage - which is a home for about 60 elephants (out of which around 50 are baby elephants) found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. They are being cared, fed and trained by the wild life authority. You will have the opportunity of seeing these ‘babes’ being bottle-fed. You could also see the elephants having their daily baths at a river close by.

Continue the drive to Kandy – founded in the 14th century, is the southern tip of Sri Lanka's 'Cultural Triangle'. The city became the capital of the kingdom in 1592, during a troubled time when many of the islanders were fleeing to the interior, away from the coastal areas the European powers were fighting over. Although taken several times, the city remained one of the bastions of Sinhalese independence until the British troops entered it on 14 February 1815. From Vimala Dharma Suriya-I (1591-1604) to Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe (1798-1815), it was the last seat of royal power. It remains the religious capital of Buddhism and a sacred city for millions of believers. Enshrined in the Dalada Maligawa is the relic of the tooth of Buddha which has long been greatly venerated.

Day - 2Kandy

Today we visit the Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a Buddhist temple located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.

Then visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens which is a paradise for nature lovers. This beautiful flower Eden is restored with over 300 different varieties of orchids, other spices, medicinal plants and Palm trees spread over an area of 147-acre flower gardens.

The real evidence of the richness will be affirmed by your visit to the Gem Museum. Sri Lanka produces the finest quality of gems in the world. Semi-precious gems, the sapphires of Sri Lanka, which are very exclusive and comes in shades of blue, red, green, white etc.

In the evening you will witness a Traditional Cultural Dance Show.

Day - 3Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel.

Start the drive towards Nuwara Eliya, en-route visiting a Tea Plantation & Tea Factory, where one the best Tea in the world is produced. You will be told all about the process of manufacturing tea and also see how tea is graded. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory.

On reaching in Nuawara Eliya, check-in to the hotel. After freshen-up proceed for sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya.

Nuwara Eliya (City of Lights) - is blessed with salubrious climate, breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains and greenery; Surrounded by hills and tea plantations, the town of Nuwara Eliya enjoys spring-like weather throughout the year. It is also known as “Little England”, which was the favorite hill station of the British who tried to create Nuwara Eliya into a typical English Village. The old brick Post office, country house like hill club with its hunting pictures, trophies and strict formal dinner attire; the 18-hole golf course, horse race course, etc., all remind you of “England”.

During the city tour in Nuwara Eliya, the main attractions include the golf course, trout streams, Victoria Park, and boating or fishing on Lake Gregory. Also visit Seetha Eliya and Haggala Gardens. Seetha Eliya is a temple which was mentioned in the famous epic Ramayana. Haggala is a temperate hill-country garden where languid low-country lotus and water lily float in their serene loveliness.

Day - 4Nuwara Eliya – Bentota

Today we drive to Bentota, the city of the Golden Beaches. Here you relax and feel the spirit of the sea and the warmth of the soft sand.

Bentota provides the perfect turf for unfurled vacation at the beach. While enjoying the sun, sea and sand the water sports lovers can enroll themselves in various water sports bringing in the unique pleasure of this locale.

During your city tour which is more of a scenic tour relaxing and interesting while passing many islets forested with mangroves and experiences the natural rhythms as well. The Turtle Hatchery is the prime turtle nesting site which was open by the Wild Life Protection Society in 1981.

Visitors can see huge tanks filled with new born turtle hatchlings. After being fed, the baby turtles are taken to the sea and released when they are 2-4 days old, usually during the safer hours of darkness.

Day - 6Bentota - Colombo

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel and drive to our last destination city of the tour Colombo.

Colombo - like many capital cities in developing countries Colombo is fast changing its face. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood, yet in some parts, the old world charm is retained. A 100-year-old Clock tower and several British built, colonial buildings are still to be seen in the city. The Pettah bazaar – where one can shop for bargains, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Colombo museum, the Bandaranaike memorial international conference hall – an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the People’s Republic of China, the new Parliament in Sri Jayawardenapura and the Folk Art Center are some of the places of interest that we visit to.

For shopping you may visit Odel, House of Fashion, Beverly Street, Majestic City, Noritake, etc.
